A Corporate Amazing Race Under the City Lights

Who says team building has to happen during business hours?

Recently, we hosted an action-packed Canberra Amazing Race for a fun-loving group of 14 participants. Split into 3 competitive teams, they hit the streets of Canberra after sunset for an evening filled with laughter, teamwork, problem-solving, and a healthy dose of friendly rivalry.

With the city lights creating the perfect backdrop, teams raced between checkpoints, tackled challenges, and did everything they could to earn valuable points on the leaderboard.

A Night of Team Building With a Competitive Twist

The event kicked off with a quick briefing before teams received their first clues and headed off into the Canberra CBD.

From there, it was game on.

Throughout the race, teams encountered a series of our favourite corporate team building activities, each designed to test different skills and encourage collaboration.

Some of the challenges included:

• Slingshot target challenges

• Marshmallow tower construction

• Minefield navigation

• Ring toss accuracy tests

• Paper Place puzzle challenges

While some teams focused on speed, others quickly realised that communication, strategy, and teamwork were just as important as racing between checkpoints.

As the evening unfolded, plenty of laughs were shared, a few marshmallow towers collapsed dramatically, and more than one team discovered that navigating a minefield while blindfolded is much harder than it looks.
