Christchurch Amazing Race Brings Out the Competitive Spirit for Rave Build

When Rave Build hit the streets for their Christchurch Amazing Race, they came ready to compete. Dressed head-to-toe in their team colours, they certainly stood out around the city. More importantly, they brought plenty of energy, laughter and just the right amount of friendly rivalry.

This Corporate Amazing Race was designed to get everyone working together while exploring Christchurch in a fun and engaging way. With a competitive bunch like this, we knew we had to keep them guessing from start to finish.

No Following Allowed!

One request from the client stood out before the event even began. They didn’t want teams simply following one another from checkpoint to checkpoint.

Challenge accepted.

To keep things fair, we customised the event with multiple detours and split routes. Teams found themselves tackling different checkpoints in different orders, forcing them to think strategically instead of just chasing the group in front.

It made for a much more exciting Christchurch Amazing Race. Teams had to trust their own navigation, make quick decisions and rely on teamwork rather than copying everyone else.

The result? A fast-paced race packed with surprises and plenty of bragging rights.

Slingshots, Pipelines and Bonus Point Glory

Of course, no Corporate Amazing Race would be complete without some memorable challenges along the way.

The slingshot challenge quickly became a crowd favourite. While most teams worked together to launch their projectiles, a few brave participants decided to tackle the single-person slingshot challenge for valuable bonus points. It wasn’t easy, but the extra risk certainly paid off for those willing to give it a crack.

Elsewhere, teams tested their coordination with our ever-popular Pipelines challenge, where communication proved just as important as speed. The Bucket Catch challenge also had everyone scrambling, diving and laughing as they worked together to beat the clock.

These activities kept the competition close while giving every team a chance to earn valuable points.

What made this event memorable wasn’t just the competition. It was the way every team threw themselves into every challenge.

Whether they were racing through Christchurch, cheering teammates on or celebrating a successful checkpoint, the enthusiasm never slowed down.
