NZ Super Fund’s Amazing Race Auckland – Finance, Fun & Full Halloween Chaos!
When NZ Super Fund asked us for a team building event in Auckland, we didn’t just deliver, we unleashed 90 finance professionals in full Halloween mode across the CBD. And honestly? It was glorious chaos.
Te Komititanga Square became costume central as 18 competitive teams assembled in wigs, wings, and werewolf ears. This Halloween-themed Amazing Race Auckland was anything but ordinary. Because nothing says “corporate development” like watching your CFO sprinting down Queen Street dressed as Dracula!
From the starting whistle, the competition was fierce and the laughs unstoppable. Our custom Auckland team building challenges revealed some unexpected talents (and a few hilarious weaknesses):
🧛♂️ Finance wizards who couldn’t land a single ring toss
🌶️ Palate pros completely defeated by spice jars
📣 Cheer routines that startled tourists and turned heads
🏌️♂️ Golf swings that nearly sent our hosts running
🎯 Slingshot attempts that had everyone ducking for cover
The costumes definitely added to the mayhem, reducing coordination, depth perception, and dignity in the best possible way.
As the madness unfolded, one team rose to the top. The fabulous Pink Team claimed victory (and bragging rights) at Public Bar. Meanwhile, the Silver Team proudly embraced the wooden spoon, mostly because last place meant first dibs on the bar tab!
But this Amazing Race Auckland wasn’t just about laughter (though there was plenty of that). It was about teamwork, communication, and collaboration. It was about letting go of the day-to-day grind and connecting on a whole new level, even if that involved doing a conga line in a cape.
