We had the absolute pleasure of working with the fantastic teachers and admin staff from Immanuel Lutheran College for a sun-soaked team building event on the Sunshine Coast. The school holidays were the perfect time to celebrate the end of term, and what better way than with a beachside Amazing Race-style challenge designed to shake off the classroom vibes and unleash pure fun?

Racing by the Beach

Set against the stunning Sunshine Coast beaches, this outdoor adventure had everything a school staff event should: clue-solving, quirky puzzles, creative tasks, and plenty of friendly competition. Teams moved from checkpoint to checkpoint, completing hilarious activities and testing their problem-solving skills, all while enjoying the sea breeze and showing off their collaboration.

Energy, Spirit, and Laughter

From the very first moments, the energy was electric. Teams threw themselves into the race with humour, enthusiasm, and just the right amount of cheekiness. Their teamwork and creativity shone in every challenge, and the laughs never stopped. One of the highlights? A surprise beach relay that had everyone grinning from ear to ear (but we’ll keep those details under wraps for now!).

Why It Mattered

This event was a powerful reminder of how valuable team building for teachers and school staff can be. It wasn’t only about competing; it was about strengthening relationships, boosting morale, and creating connections outside the staffroom. By the end of the day, the group left the sand not just as colleagues but as teammates, carrying memories that will last long after the next bell rings.
