Our team recently hosted an unforgettable Amazing Race at the Fairmont Resort in the Blue Mountains with 140 eager participants. The stunning mountain backdrop created the perfect stage for a day packed with team building activities, laughter, and plenty of Aussie wildlife.
An Unforgettable Start with Aussie Animals
From the very beginning, energy levels ran high. Teams kicked off with an animal encounter, meeting wombats and other famous Australian creatures up close. This hands-on experience became the ultimate icebreaker. It allowed colleagues to connect, share smiles, and prepare for the exciting challenges ahead.
Custom Nature-Themed Challenges
We designed this custom nature-themed Amazing Race to showcase both teamwork and creativity. As the race unfolded, teams transitioned from one game to the next with growing excitement. They built shelters in record time, tested their listening skills in “guess the animal noise,” and raced through an obstacle course to rescue “injured” stuffed animals. Because each checkpoint offered a unique surprise, teams stayed engaged, competitive, and motivated.
Laughter with “What’s in the Box?”
One of the biggest laughs of the day came from our “What’s in the Box?” challenge. With mystery items hidden inside, players relied only on touch to guess what they were holding. The reactions were priceless, ranging from cautious curiosity to bold confidence. This challenge quickly became a crowd favourite and had everyone talking.

The natural beauty of the Blue Mountains added an extra layer of magic. Surrounded by fresh air, towering trees, and sweeping views, teams worked together and created memories they’ll treasure.
