When the Royal Flying Doctor Service Queensland called us up to run a Corporate Amazing Race in Mt Isa, we couldn’t say yes fast enough! And if you’ve never been to Mt Isa, let us set the scene, it’s a rugged, red-dirt beauty smack bang in the heart of Queensland, not far from the Northern Territory border. Remote? Yep. But that just made it all the more epic.
Sure, hosting a team building event in the outback comes with its fair share of curveballs (think heat, dust, and more dust). But we love a challenge, and we were determined to deliver a race that would be anything but ordinary.
Checkpoints, Clues & Classic Mt Isa Vibes
We hit the ground running (literally), teaming up with local businesses and using iconic Mt Isa attractions as checkpoints. From heritage sites to hidden gems, we turned this mining town into a buzzing Amazing Race playground.
Teams tore through the Mt Isa CBD, cracked clues, completed hilarious challenges, and made pitstops that showcased the best of what the town has to offer. It was all about team bonding, friendly competition, and a whole lot of laughs along the way.

Despite the remote setting, this outback Amazing Race was packed with high energy and unforgettable moments. The Royal Flying Doctor Service teams brought the vibes, the banter, and some serious hustle.
